Second Visit
We study your health history and correlate our assessment findings. We’ll make recommendations designed to help you recover as quickly as possible from your current symptoms and help prevent recurrence. We call this our Report of Findings & Recommendations and is usually attended to on your second visit.
This visit may be a couple of days after your initial consultation and usually takes about 20 minutes. This two-visit approach to giving you information on your condition establishes several things:
- Reduces the length of your first visit
- Gives us time to thoroughly correlate our findings
- Avoids overloading you with too much information
This second visit also allows David to assess your particular reaction to chiropractic treatment and gives you time to ask questions. Please remember that we are here to help and empower you with practical solutions to get out of pain as quickly as possible. If there is something you don’t understand please ask.
It is usual after the second visit for David to write a medical report to your General Practitioner. This is done as a professional courtesy to keep your Doctor in the loop about your condition and proposed course of chiropractic care.
Regular Visits
After the time investment of your first and second visits, some people may be concerned that every visit is equal in length. They are not. A typical regular visit may require just 10-15 minutes. Like a regular workout at the gym, each visit builds on the one before. Miss a visit and you can lose the momentum necessary to make long-term changes in prevention of future episodes of back pain.
We recognise your time is valuable so we do everything possible to run on time and minimise the interruption to your busy life! Each visit you will be greeted by the warm smile at the front desk. The Chiropractic Centre Wilton seeks to be a fun and relaxing environment for you to unwind. We seek to be a catalyst for helping you make and sustain healthier lifestyle choices. Research has shown that those patients who take a proactive role in their recovery suffer from less relapses (if any) in the future.
Choices
There will be a time in the not too distant future when people start to feel significantly better. They’re often tempted to discontinue their care. Please note that you often invite a symptomatic relapse if you discontinue care before we have stabilised your spine, joint, or muscle problems. Of course, how long you benefit from chiropractic at The Chiropractic Centre Wilton is always up to you. Remember you have choices. Just let us know and we will support your decisions.
